Colin's 4 year old check up

Yesterday we went to Colin's 4 year old check up. We always have our check ups with Dr. Smiley who has been Colin's doctor since he was 3 weeks old. Colin thinks she is one of the best people ever! After we checked in, the nurse called us back. Now that he is four there are different things they do. The first thing was he had to do was to pee into a cup. Since his daddy wasn't there yet, I went in to help him. Colin thought this was the coolest thing ever. After we did that he got all his measurements done. Then it was time to check his hearing and check his eyes. He said that was cool but not as cool as cool as peeing in a cup! :) The next thing was for his finger to get poked for the blood test. Well, he did not like that at all. When he was all done with that, it was time to get undressed with underwear still on. He didn't like that because then Dr. Smiley would see him that way. I tried to tell him that she has seen him naked since he was a little baby but that didn't seem to work. So then Dr. Smiley walked in......she started to talk to him about is behavior at school. (Mommy had already told Dr. Smiley this is what she needed to talk to him about.)Colin was not very happy to tell Dr. Smiley about his behavior because he didn't want to look bad in her eyes, (at least this was my guess.) So they talked about the right things to do. She wrote down two things Colin needs to work on and then she signed her name and told Colin to do the same. She said she would be checking in with him this week. If he comes home on green Monday and Tuesday she would she a little gift to him on Tuesday. (Andrew will be there on Tuesday for a check up on his ears.) Then if came home on green Wednesday and Thursday, she would send him a gift. Well he thought that was just awesome. So I guess we will see how this goes. That was a very fun check up to be at!
